The Johnson-Bain Perseverance Scholarship
The Johnson-Bain Scholarship was established to assist deserving students with career aspirations that require a collegiate education.
Specifically, the scholarship is for academically challenged students who would otherwise not apply for typical scholarship opportunities but who have demonstrated the will to persevere.
Scholarship title: The Johnson-Bain Perseverance Scholarship
Scholarship Description: The Johnson-Bain Perseverance Scholarship is open to African American students graduating from Williamstown High School in 2016.
Applicable Majors: All majors requiring a 4 year college degree
AWARDS

Two $500 awards for tuition and/or college expenses to attend a four year college/university will be awarded.
DEADLINES & IMPORTANT DATES
Applications must be received by midnight, April 1, 2016.
Winners will be notified after April 30, 2016.
HOW TO ENTER
Applicants for the scholarship must submit the following information:

A short essay (maximum of 500 words) typed in English as to “Why do you want to attend college, explain your education and career goals. Tell us your story.”

A letter of recommendation from a community leader or advisor emailed to: perseverancescholar@gmail.com
