Makeesa graduated from WHS in 1993. She paricipated in marching band, concert band, choir, track and field, and field hockey. Other activities included Student Advisory, and the Black Culture Club.
Makeesa Johnson
Makeesa Johnson is the President of Elderly Healthcare Consulting, LLC, a Geriatric Consulting Company committed to improving the lives of the growing older adult population while supporting caregivers. Ms. Johnson is also an Adjunct Instructor, Field Internship Instructor for New Jersey, and member of the Social and Behavioral Science Advisory Board at Wilmington University.
Ms. Johnson has over 20 years’ experience in the healthcare industry having worked as a Medical Social Worker, Assisted Living Administrator and Licensed Nursing Home Administrator for leading companies in the healthcare industry.
Ms. Johnson is a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator in PA and NJ and a Licensed Social Worker in NJ. Ms. Johnson holds a BSW and MSW in Social Work with a minor in Gerontology and is currently pursuing her Doctorate in Social Work. Ms. Johnson is also an active participant in her community; she is a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., National Association of Social Workers, Gerontological Society of America and the Society of Licensed Nursing Home Administrators.
